UPDATE 12/22/2017: The check payment I mailed on December 8th cleared my bank this morning. The due date was December 20th, so I paid online on the 19th because I was afraid the check wasn't going to process in time. I logged into my Poplar Grove account moments ago to look at my payment history, and saw that the check payment by mail was processed on December 19th, the day before the due date. When I called Poplar Grove back in November, I was told that they process payments by mail immediately as they come in. So, I mailed this check on December 8th, and Poplar Grove didn't process it until December 19th? It took 11 days for the check to travel 9 miles from my house to Poplar Grove? I've purchased items on ebay from Hong Kong with free shipping that arrived at my doorstep in under a week. Could the postal service really be that slow? Okay, sure, it's possible. I guess the real issue is I had to make a guess and do a double payment this month to avoid a potential penalty, and I know a lot of families out there who are finacially less fortunate than I am who simply can't afford to make a double payment, especially around Christmas.

ORIGINAL POST: When I signed up for service, I was told they charge a convenience fee for credit/debit cards payment online, so I opted out and chose to pay by mail to avoid those fees. August bill came, mailed the check, no problem. September bill came, mailed the check, no problem. October bill never came, so I mailed an October payment to the address on their website. Two weeks went by, check never cleared. So, I had to pay the bill online, plus a convenience fee, plus a late fee. The bill and my check returned to my house in late November, marked un-deliverable. I called them to ask why my bill never came, and I was told on the phone that their records showed I was signed up for online pay only. Really? News to me! I told the rep I wanted it changed back to mail payment, which they did, because my November bill arrived in the mail. I sent the check, it cleared. Now here we are in December, my bill arrived, I sent the check 2 weeks ago, it still hasn't cleared, and the payment is due tomorrow. So, I went online and paid the bill to avoid late fees. I am going to just pay online from here out, because something is clearly wrong with their mail service. Use caution.

Last minute customer I am sorry to say it but it is not the District fault if you do not pay your bill on time. When signing up for new service it is customer responsibility to ask time .

After dropping by payment off at the box one night, I received a late charge, I like the camera ... proved that I made the time limit. But, to deal with this Manager was another issue. Oh, the days has 24 hours and ends at 12 mid night. Not when the company decides. thanks for changing the sign. But no thanks for the rudeness.

Claim they are state ran but they are private owned 0 customer service not polite at all not in person or over the phone over priced and love to have spikes in price can't get anything processed after 12 on Friday so if something does happen to you water they won't do a damn thing til Monday, and lord forbid it an emergency you get a voice mail and might get a call back if they feel like it is joke of a water department.

I have been a customer since 1984 very good customer service. I have learned nothing is free in this world. You should not live on the edge.

Should this company, who waves a Great American Flag ever get a new Manager the whole area will rejoice.

2414 dolan road messed my yard up. Said they would fix. hah ! Boy who works for them lives down street. Real#÷#*&. I guess they are so high cause employees must be screwups.
